Safety Line Re-testing

Heightsafe Systems Retesting of Cable based Fall Protection Systems.

Unlike many of our Competitors, Heightsafe Systems will check and report on all of the following points

  • That the system can be reached safely.
  • That all pins, circlips and fixings are in place.
  • We will pull test the end swages using the latest Safety Lifeline Cable Tester and can provide photographic evidence.
  • A line drawing of the system showing the number of posts, their centres and the access position will be produced.
  • All user equipment will be checked and serial numbers recorded.

It is a legal requirement to create and ensure a safe environment for personnel working at height.  Without a tested and certified installed system, including eyebolts, you can be held responsible for an accident or fall.  With years of experience in system and eyebolt testing, Heightsafe Systems will ensure that your building meets all legal requirements.

Offering a complete peace of mind to the users/owners and the assurance of a fully functional Safety System at all times. We can also arrange to carry out inspection of gutters, fascias and general roof condition, and complete remedial works, i.e. gutter cleaning, general maintenance.

Following initial installation, the system(s) must be annually inspected and tested by a competent and qualified person to ensure it is in a safe working condition in accordance with section 12 BS 7883 of 2005.

  • Fall protection systems should be be tested every 12 months to meet BS Standards
  • PPE should be inspected every 12 months to meet BS StandardEN 365
  • Eyebolts should be tested every 12 months to meet EN 795 & BS 7883
  • Abseil Anchors should be tested every 6 months to meet EN 795 & BS 7883
  • Our Re-test service is nationwide
  • We will contact you two months prior to the expiry date to book in your re-tests, so that they are never overlooked.

If the certification for your system(s) does expire, it is your responsibility to ensure that no one is allowed to use the system(s). In the event of fault detection during the annual re-test, full reports and guidance on required remedial action will be provided.
